COVID-19 Testing

What your results mean.

Results of these assays must be considered in alongside clinical history, epidemiological data and other data available to the clinician evaluating the patient. A positive result does not rule out a bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses.  The agent detected may not be the definite cause of disease. Negative results do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should not be used as the sole basis for patient management decisions.

Testing without leaving your home to ensure the most stress-free travel!

*Specimens must be collected by 3pm to allow 24hr results.  Delays due to weather, shipping, and testing demand may slow results.  RapidLabs is not held liable for delays in test results due to shipping and transit, or lab-processing.  Testing for travel purposes is recommended to be schedule as early as possible in the testing window described by an individual airline agency.   Patient must provide photo ID  prior to sample collection.  All results are uploaded to HIPAA-secure Patient portal.  Results may not be emailed, faxed, or mailed.

Patients are advised to seek urgent medical attention or call 9-11 if experiencing severe shortness of breath, fevers, chest pain, or other signs of severe infection.  COVID-19 RT PCR tests are not forms of medical treatment.  Positive test results warrant patient seeking medical care, distancing to prevent contagious spread, and following direction established by their medical doctor, employers, and the CDC.
